Digital Self-Portrait

                                                                                                                              

I feel pretty good about my self portrait practice.  All I need is a cheap little mirror set up right here next to my monitor and my Wacom tablet and I'm good to go.  It's great working in Painter where I can grab any color and any media without digging in a box or bag or drawer.  I decided to collage it up a bit with some text and a photo.

I am experimenting with color using Painter X and my Wacom pad.  The great think about Painter and PhotoShop and others is that you can grab any color translate it into all kinds of textures and simulate almost any media and get carried away.  I lean toward the jewel colors.  I'll pick up something bright before I look at a neutral or muted tone, but here I am and I'm liking it.  BF is a very handsome guy, yes?

Didn't think I was much of a green person, then one day I tried on and bought a green dress, then saw and liked green pants. Painted my kitchen green and now I have one door painted green. Many of my pieces have green than not. It's fresh and I am looking forward to seeing some around here real soon.

I dig orange! Oh, yeah! My little workroom here has walls painted two shades of orange. It's juicy and vibrant and often I do not know what to do with it. So most times I just look and dream and try to make it work somewhere.
